Light bulbs mimic daylight & night light for better sleep – Lighting Science

Who couldn’t use a few more hours (or even minutes) of extra sleep, or better sleep overall? We should all go to bed earlier, but sometimes that’s not realistic.  Couple our poor bedtime habits with the fact many of us are glued to our screens (being bombarded with blue light that stimulates the brain and disrupts sleep) and we’re not doing ourselves any favours.

There are ways to fight off these sleep disruptors; one of them is to change your light bulbs. Yes, by matching your body’s natural circadian rhythms to different colours of light, you can help you body stay properly in sync, and possibly even stay healthier.

Now DEWALT, known for its power tool line has come out with an Android phone that’s built so tough it doesn’t even need a case. Photo gear from Joby lets you go handsfree

With so many of us relying solely on our smartphones for the bulk of our photography, it’s too bad we don’t put much effort into making the shots truly great. While lighting, luck and skill are definitely part of getting a good photo, you can improve your snaps with a few key accessories. Joby is a large company that makes photo accessories and gear for DSLR cameras, and action video cameras like GoPro, but it’s also got some gadgets that can help you with the photos you take on your phone. Amazon’s new Kindle Paperwhite Review: take another look at an e-reader

kindleE-readers have been around a long, long time. Even so, there’s still heated debate among book lovers about whether digital can really match the tactile experience of a printed book.

Amazon was one of the first to release a mass-market e-reader in 2007; it sold out in about 5 hours, and readers have been soaking up digital books ever since.

What’s the e-reader allure?

When I first heard about the Kindle, I didn’t get it. I mean, I got it. It’s an eReader that can store a bunch of eBooks and that lightened your load and all that stuff. But I didn’t get why you’d want to get a Kindle when you could just download the Kindle app on, in my case, an iPad.
